April 2010 Visit.
Carolyn
and I had a great time trading Pins and visiting our favorite
attractions. The parks were much less crowned than our March
visit as it appeared that spring break was over. We walked
right on to The Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean and
Jungle Cruise with no waiting. Usually the appropriate Disney
Bus was waiting on us or arrived shortly after we got to the
Bus stop.
As most of you know Disney
is allowing Pin Traders to set up at the four tables located
in front of the Epcot Pin Trading Center. If you wish to set
up with your Pin Trading Book it is necessary to arrive right
when Epcot opens in order to secure one of four tables.
While Carolyn finished
touching up her makeup and hair, I would make a dash to Epcot
to set up on one of the Trading tables. We now have to
carry our trading pins in a case with wheels. We are using one
of my old Pelican Rifle cases in order to safely transport the
pins on the Airplane and to drag them to Epcot. The case
certainly gets strange looks from the Disney Security Staff
until we open to reveal over 1600 Disney Pins.
We made some great trades
and met a lot of very nice people from all over the World.
Emma and her little sister from Scotland traded a very nice
group of older Euro-Disney Pins as well as a USA Jumbo Monorail
for a few of our older Walt Disney World Pins and the new 2010
Hidden Mickey Pins. Speaking of Hidden Mickey Pins we verified
that there are completer pins for the 2010 Hidden Mickey pins.
They are the new $1.00 pins at Downtown Disney when you
purchase $30.00 or more of merchandise. For example the
completer pin for the figment 2010 Hidden Mickey Pins is a
yellow shirt with the letter "F" on the front.
