Mickey's
Merry Christmas Party
This was our first trip to
Walt Disney World for the Mickey's Merry Christmas Party and
the Christmas season. We brought our youngest Grand Daughter
to enjoy part of the Christmas season in Disney World. The
Christmas party is similar to the Very Scary Halloween Party and
Princesses and Pirates parties where it is limited to Disney
guest who purchased additional tickets to attend. We honestly
expected that Disney world would have gone all out with
Christmas lights and decorations. However, they did not even
put lights in the trees down main street or any other park. We
quickly got over our disappointment as the atmosphere
was filled with seasonal music, snow falling on Main street
and holographs on the buildings on Main Street. As you
meandered from shop to shop your eyes are drawn to the
splendor of Cinderella's Castle as thousands of shimmering
lights danced in red, blue and deep purple. Precisely at the
appointed time the official Disney announcement " Celebrate
the Season" located on stage directly in front of Cinderella's
castle. Unless you are close to the stage it is difficult for
children to view the dancing Toy Soldiers, Ballerina, Minnie
and Mickey and other Disney characters. No worries as the real
Christmas show comes to life over Cinderella's Castle in the
form of hundred of fireworks as the dancing lights on the
Castle change with the music. Our Grand Daughter was dancing
with excitement during Magical Christmas parade featuring Mr.
and Mrs. Santa Clause as well as the super impressive
fireworks display.
The attending Christmas
quests were offered a never ending supply of Sugar cookies and
hot chocolate.
When we were deplaning into
the cold Indiana weather our Grand daughter looked at me and
said " Burr Pa, I think we got on the wrong plane".
