December 2009 Visit
We had an uneventful flight and taxi ride to
Disney World's Caribbean Beach Resort. Carolyn and I were able
to get exactly the same room as we had last trip. We did a
mess of pin trading with the cast members as well as a couple
of pin traders in front of the Epcot Pin Traders. I
found another of the 7 dwarfs in the mining car - Now I only
need "Doc" to complete this set.
I picked up my new Canon 7D Camera the
day before we left for this trip. I know I did not need to
replace my Canon 50D. However the 7D offered greater low light
shooting, double the Auto Focusing points and HD VIDEO. I read
the manual on the flight down to Orlando and taught myself the
particulars of this camera on the job.
I spent more time playing with the video
side of my new camera than shooting stills. The one thing I
have come to realize is the need for a whole lot of education
and practice with Video. I will need to find a solid, yet
compact Tripod to eliminate shake and movement.
Our Disney Tip of the Month: Fast
Passes
If you have been to Disney World you already
know about the Fast Passes available for many of the most
desirable attractions. If you have not used the Fast Pass
option it is easy - Locate the Fast Pass machines for each
attraction near the ride itself. Insert your admission ticket
and a Fast Pass while spit out with a time range of one hour.
Now for the tip of the month. Did you know that the Fast pass
is not only valid for the one hour range, it will allow the
Fast Pass holder to enter the attraction from the opening time
of the Fast Pass until the park closes.
We plan to bring the good and the not so
good about our Disney adventures.
