September 2010 Visit.

Hi! For the first time in this websites history I am actually up to date. In fact I am on the plane heading home from our September visit.

We attended the first 2010 Mickey's Very Scary Halloween Party. The only place to purchase the Halloween Party pins is at the Frontierland Pin station. The staff closed the doors at 7:00pm to set up the Halloween pins . I wish I had my video camera with me it was like watching the three Stooges or a Saturday Night Live Sketch. I group of cast members would set up pins, then another would take them down and rearrange them, this went on over and over again for almost 25 minutes. A senior manager arrived and in less than 2 minutes they opened the door.

A special thank you to cast member Marissa for all her help in purchasing our Halloween pins. (PS Have fun with you Tiana costume this Halloween.)

The weatherman cooperated with sunny Skies and warm weather with not one day of rain. The crowds were so small the first few days you could not even call them crowds. For example walk on time for Soaring was 10 minutes and Test Track was the time it took to walk up the long ramp.

Our two Toy Storey Adventures took only 35 minutes from the gate to our buggy. I finally beat Carolyn for only the second time out of about 40 games. The second trip thru she only beat me by 100 points, however this was the highest I had ever gotten at 164,700. How the devil people get just short of 500,000 is beyond me.

We had two great days of trading at Epcot and met some very nice people, such as Tom and Mary from the UK. He was hot on the trail to complete his Vinylmation pins and we were happy to trade for a few of his UK Disney Pins.

Remember me whining about the Trade City Mystery packs that were not available at the Convention? Well on our last day of trading at Epcot, Carolyn calls to me from the Pin shack with a box in her hand and says "Look what I found, they have seven of them". Would you believe that somehow seven boxes of the coveted Mystery boxes made it into the Epcot trading center. YPSep I rushed in and bought them all. Out of 14 pins we have 8 of the eleven pins including the elusive Mystery Pin.. WOW, how luck could we get. We now only need 3 pins to finish a set we had no chance to do before.

PS. Those little lizards running around everywhere - can make it under your Hotel room door. I found two in our room - I watched one of the little buggers come from under the door.
